With rainbows as a source of inspiration, Jacin Giordano has created artworks of fantastical landscapes, portraits of enchanted personalities, experimental abstractions, and crafted magic.

In this, his fourth solo exhibition at the gallery, Giordano continues his reflections on what painting is or could be. The works featured in …Years Later are the product of nontraditional techniques.

Paint, specifically acrylic paint, is the principal medium of the artist’s work. Using this as base, and combining it with yarn, glitter, and textiles, the artist continues his ongoing exploration of the essence of form and color. Arranging layers upon layers of dripped and cut blocks of acrylic paint, of knitted blankets dipped in glue and covered in glitter, Jacin Giordano continues to push boundaries.

Jacin Giordano graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Painting. He has exhibited at The Moore Space, Miami, FL; the White Box Gallery, New York, NY; Florida Atlantic University, FL; Museum of Art, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Galerie Baumet-Sultana, Paris, France, as well as Fredric Snitzer Gallery, Miami, FL. In 2006 Mr. Giordano was recipient of the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship. He currently lives and works in Miami, Florida.
